HOUSTON — Mound Cotton, a leading law firm representing insurance companies, announced today that Karl Schulz joined the firm’s Houston office. An experienced litigator, he represents insurance companies in first party property insurance claims.

Prior to joining Mound Cotton, Karl was a partner in Cozen O’Connor’s Houston office, where he led the office’s charitable activities, and he received the American Bar Association’s Military Pro Bono Outstanding Service award. Karl is widely published and is a frequent speaker at webinars and conferences. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas Insurance Law Section.
Karl graduated from the University of Houston Law Center, where he was a Staff Editor at the Environmental and Energy Law and Policy Journal. He also received a Master in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge, and a BA, cum laude, from the University of Southern California. He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Western, and Northern Districts of Texas.
